Danny Earl Reed, 65, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday evening, June 4, 2018 at St. Catherine's Manor of Fostoria.

He was born on December 26, 1952, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Charles R. and Grace E. (Klinger) Reed.  He married Mary A. Ball in June of 1974 and she preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammie I. Reed of Tiffin; stepdaughter, Rose Case of Tiffin; sister, Irene Fryman of Plain City, Ohio; sister-in-law, Donna Reed; brother, Norman Reed of Kentucky; three aunts, Bernice Durer, Marie Shuey of Tiffin and Maxine Cupp of South Carolina; four granddaughters; six grandsons; eight great grandsons; six great granddaughters; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and a few stray children who adopted him years ago.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, David Reed; stepson; several aunts and uncles; mother-in-law; and several brothers-in-law.

Danny worked at Excel Wire and Cable for 26 years, Ameriwood Industries for seven years and Farmland Foods for one year, then worked part-time, and finally retired in 2017.  He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, cutting wood and spending time with his family.

His wish for us is to dress casual, comfortable and to laugh, enjoy and party!  He wants us to be happy so we are doing his final wish.  We plan to do a cookout Saturday evening at 4:00 P.M. at our home.  We will have a fire later, all are welcome.  Please bring a dish so we can enjoy and remember dad.  Thank you.

His memorial service will be at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Amy Vittorio officiating.  Burial will be private in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
