Darin M. Simpier, 40, of Tiffin, died Sunday evening, August 2, 2009, as the result of an automobile accident.

On September 15, 1968, he was born to Albert and Sandy (Irwin) Simpier in Seattle, WA. His mother preceded him in death. He married Mary Ann Bickelhaupt on July 6, 1997 in Cape Coral, FL.

Survivors include his father, Albert of Seattle, Mary Ann Simpier of Tiffin; 3 sons, Jarrid, Andrew, and Merrik, 2 daughters, Chelsea and Natalie, brothers, Colin Simpier and Che Melendrez, and a sister, Heather Taft.

Over the years he painted bridges in the Pacific Northwest, was a fisherman in Alaska, worked at Ameriwood in Tiffin and most recently, working at Tiffin Metal Products. He was a good father that enjoyed fishing with his daughter, gardening, and cooking.

Friends may visit with the family, Friday, August 7, 10am-12pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. His memorial service will follow at 12pm, with Chaplain Tracy Elder officiating at the funeral home.
