Darl E. Kretsinger, 76, of Melmore, passed away on Saturday, June 01, 2024 at the VA Ann Arbor Health Care.

He was born on November 12, 1947, in Seneca County, Ohio to Kenneth and Doris (Altman) Kretsinger.  On April 03, 1971, he married Connie Hushour.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Kretsinger of Melmore; son, Donald Kretsinger of Melmore; brother, Bob Kretsinger of Kentucky; sisters, Judy Perrin of Bucyrus and Karen Bryant of Tiffin; and four grandchildren, Katie, Cameron, Raymond and Erik.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Darl was a 1965 graduate of Republic High School, attended Terra Community College and earned a degree in Quality Control.  He served in the United States Navy from August 10, 1965 to November 08, 1968.   He retired as a truck driver from Bryan Truck Lines and was a life member of the Tiffin AmVets Post 48 and a member of the National Model Railroad Association, Ohio Mopar Club  and the Lake Erie Southern Model Railroad Club.  Darl enjoyed model railroading, traveling and fishing in Wyoming with his best friend, Steve.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Rock Creek Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local Veteran's Group or to Habitat for Humanity.
