DARLENE M. SWARTZ

Darlene M. Swartz, 59, of Tiffin, died Saturday evening, April 5, 2008, in the emergency room at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

On January 28, 1949, she was born in Tiffin to George and Virginia (Grover) LaFontaine. On June 26, 1969, she married Richard Lee Swartz in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her mother,Virginia, of Tiffin, two sons, Richard Lee (Kara) Swartz of Fort Gordon, GA, Craig Aubry (Sandra) Swartz of Tiffin, three sisters, Ruth LaFontaine of Pasadena, MD, Donna Hook, Roxie McGee, both of Tiffin, friends, Dawn Thoney, Charles Slysz and Dr. Jerry Solomon, a special friend, David Steinmetz of Tiffin, six grandchildren, Hannah and Sarah Swartz, Michael, Robert, Samantha and Timothy Swartz.

Preceding her in death along with her father on August 17, 2005, is her husband, Richard, on September 11, 1999, and a brother, Greg McGee.

Darlene was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1967 graduate of Calvert High School. She was a day care provider for over 20 years and a past member of Tiffin Moose Lodge 846 and an Auxiliary member of Eagles 402. She received the presidential award for walking, which she loved to do.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Timothy Ferris officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Entombment will follow in Seneca Memory Garden Mausoleum.

Friends may visit with the family 6-8 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.
