David Chaney

David Chaney, 63, of Tiffin, passed away Friday evening, June 19, 2026, at Stein Hospice Center in Sandusky.

Dave was born on September 20, 1962, in Tiffin, to Robert L. and Michela C. (Crisman) Chaney.

Survivors include his best friend and spouse, Staci Hoover; children, Danielle and Shelby Chaney, Dane Riedel, Ciara Onan; brother, Daniel H. Chaney; sister, Jeanne (David) Howard; grandchildren Isabella and Violet Torres, Ivy Mitchell, Lakota, Bryson, Conor, Oaklie, Cole, Deacon, Logan; 2 nephews, and 5 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Grandmother Jean Harrington; granddaughter, Samantha Torres; brothers, Michael and Steven Chaney.

Dave was a lifelong roofer. He loved football, fishing, playing his bass guitar, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.

His graveside service will follow at 12:30 P.M., at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life dinner will be held at the Tiffin Eagles Ballroom at 1:00 P.M., following services.
