David L. Heyman, 80, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 6, 2014 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On February 24, 1934 in Tiffin, he was born to Arnold and Dora (Steele) Heyman, Sr. He married Dorothy Burge on January 14, 1959.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of 55 years, sons, David L. (Nancy) Heyman, Jr. of Howell, MI; Ronald J. (Mary Lou) Heyman of Kalamazoo, MI; daughters, Dora Marie Heyman of Front Royal, VA; Mary Catherine (Sean) Atwell of Hampton, VA; brothers, John (Betty) Heyman and Donald (Kathleen) Heyman both of Tiffin; two grandsons, David III and James (Victoria) and great granddaughter, Isabel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James and Arnold Heyman, Jr., four infant brothers, sisters, Mary Lentz, Frances Shellhouse, Doris Alspach, and Vera Rose Berry.

David served in the U.S. Army, stateside for two years during the Korean War testing missiles, worked for Basic Refractories for over 47 years and attended Republic High School.

A Graveside Service at Seneca Memory Gardens will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM with burial following.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 12:30-1:30 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
