David A. Dave" Kiesel, 60, of  Chesnee, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus, Spartanburg, SC.

He was born on March 12, 1961, in Tiffin, Ohio , to Alvin J. and Jane I. (Adams) Kiesel.

Survivors include his daughters, Mandy (Sam) Burnside of Tiffin and Missy (Kevin) Montgomery of Bellevue; son, Calum Thorn of Chesnee, SC; significant other, Tiffany Thorn; sisters, Deanna Kiesel of Findlay and Barb (Mark) Roberts of Tiffin; and four grandchildren, Colton James, Emma Burnside, Isaac Burnside and Caleb Burnside.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dave was a 1979 graduate of Columbian High School.  He owned Whitehall Building Systems, did snow removal for area businesses and was a lifelong farmer.  He served as the past president on the board for Tiffin Farmers Co-op, was a member of the Seneca County Young Farmers and was involved in 4-H and FFA.  In 2016, he moved to South Carolina and owned Upstate Landscape Supply in Spartanburg.

His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Richard Purvis officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery (Egberts).

Friends may visit with the family from 5-8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the funeral home.
