David O. Yeager, 95 of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, October 23, 2022, at St. Francis Home.

On October 17, 1927, in Hillsboro, he was born to Carl O. and Stella (McCall) Yeager. He married Jacqueline Mohr on September 1, 1957, at Trinity United Church of Christ and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2005.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Yeager of Columbus and his cat, BW.

David was a faithful and dedicated member of First Christian Church where he was a trustee and Deacon.  He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1946 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving until 1950.  He was an M.P. in Fassberg, Germany during the Berlin Airlift from 1948-1949.  Dave worked at National Machinery as a machinist, retiring in 1991.  He was a member of the Tiffin Lions, National Machinery Quarter Century Club, enjoyed traveling, OSU football and following high school football.  Dave always had a smile, loved animals, and made many close friends over the years.

A private burial will take place in Pleasant View Cemetery in Sycamore.

Friends may visit and share stories on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 1-3 PM at First Christian Church with a Memorial service to begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating.  The Seneca County United Veterans Council will conduct military honors at the conclusion of the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church or to the Seneca County Humane Society.
