Dawn L. Laird, 73, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, with her family by her side.

She was born on July 31, 1947, in Tiffin, Ohio, to John "Jack" and Marie (McKibben) Hoyda.  On July 10, 1970, she married Steven Laird.

Survivors include her husband, Steven Laird of Tiffin; sons, Kevin (Ashley) Laird and Ryan (Amy) Laird, both of Tiffin; daughters, Mindy (Dennis) Young of Tiffin and Heidi (Jonathon) Peeler of Findlay; brother, John (Mary) Hoyda of Tiffin; seven grandchildren, Alesha Van Beveren, Felicity Laird, Alec Van Beveren, Ava Laird, Olivia Agerter, Olivia Young and Carter Young; and five great grandchildren, Breighton, James, Cayden, Jevic and Jetson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dawn was a 1965 graduate of Columbian High School and earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education from Heidelberg University.  She taught at New Riegel Elementary for 39 years, mostly teaching First Grade.  After retiring, she continued as a reading tutor.  Dawn enjoyed family get-togethers, baking, scrapbooking, crafting, knitting, sewing, vacationing in Frankenmuth, going to Myrtle Beach and traveling around the United States.  Most importantly, she loved taking care of and being with her family.

Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Clayton Bailey officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Funeral Home.
