Dennis A. Bowersox, 75, of Sycamore, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at his home, with his loving wife by his side.
He was born on July 10, 1948, in Fremont, Ohio, to Mervin and Lucille (Overmeyer) Bowersox. On September 23, 1978, he married Elaine Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Bowersox of Sycamore, sons, Robert Allen Bowersox of Bellevue, Tony Lee Bowersox of Woodbridge, VA and Denny L. Bowersox of New Carlisle; daughters, Ronda (John) Dunsmore of Bellevue and Susan (Joel) Glynn of Romeoville, IL; sister, Patsy (William) "Bill" Copley of Lindsey; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Marvin Bowersox; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Paul Baker; and grandson, Brandon Dunsmore.
Dennis was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He worked at Whirlpool in Clyde for 37 years and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Dennis was a 4-H adviser for 15 years, showed cattle at the county fair, loved fishing, race cars, staying up late and watching scary movies, going to haunted houses, playing Euchre and UNO, traveling to Amish Country to get Dandelion wine, collecting motorcycles, playing pranks on people and playing Santa Claus for years. Most of all, Dennis loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and he loved God, his Lord and Savior.
His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 with Rev. Karsten Snitker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o of the funeral home.
