Diana Lynn (Bodart) Breidenbach, 73, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.
Born April 27, 1952, in Fostoria, she was the daughter of the late James and Bernice (Shaull) Bodart. On November 6, 1971, she was united in marriage to James A. Breidenbach at St. Wendelin Church in Fostoria. He survives, cherishing the memory of their fifty-four years of marriage and the life they built together.
Diana was a 1970 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin. She found great joy in tending to her many flower gardens around the family farmhouse, spending countless peaceful hours nurturing the blooms she loved. She especially looked forward to trips to Amish Country, where she delighted in exploring the shops and simple pleasures found there. Diana also enjoyed visiting flea markets, where she began collecting glassware and other unique treasures, and she cherished attending craft festivals—particularly when joined by her loving daughter, Julie. One of the highlights of her life was her 50th anniversary trip to Alaska, where she and Jim enjoyed the breathtaking sights and serenity of its natural beauty.
Diana’s greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind four children who will forever treasure the love and laughter they shared with their mom: Jeffrey (Misty) Breidenbach of Rossville, IN; Randy (Julie) Breidenbach of Cincinnati; Scott Breidenbach of Sylvania; and Julie (Kurt) Moore of Perrysburg. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Nathaniel, Andrew James “AJ”, Payton, and Garrett Breidenbach, and Nolan and Brayden Moore. She is also survived by her siblings: Dan (Geri) Bodart of Fostoria, Deb Russell of Perrysburg, and Elaine Bettenhausen of Fostoria.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Diana’s life. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 03, 2026 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 04, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Diana’s gentle spirit, her love for simple joys, and her devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
