Obituary

Diane J. Hoover, 80, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born on October 27, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey, to Gene and Ann Robinson.  On May 15, 1962, she married Thomas C. Hoover and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2014.

Survivors include her son, Jeff (Milissa) Hoover of Tiffin; daughters, Julie (Patrick Florea) Mellini                  and Staci Hoover, both of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Dane Riedel, Ciara (Drew Thompson) O'nan and Shane Hoover; and nine great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bob Robinson.

Diane was a waitress at Frisch's Big Boy and retired as a bartender from the American Legion after many years.  She was a member of the AmVets Post 48, VFW Auxiliary Post 2858 and the American Legion Post 169.  Diane was the best mom and grandma, enjoyed gambling, bowling for 48 years, knitting, crocheting, cooking for the holidays, crafts, sewing, and going out to eat with her friends.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.  A gathering will take place at 6:30 P.M. at the AmVets.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
