Donald Kenneth Drake, 89, of Tiffin, died July 4, 2011.

He was born February 16, 1922 to Charles and Louisa (Luman) Drake.

Don is survived by his wife, Kay of Tiffin; daughter, Rebecca Wetherill of Rising Sun; son, Randy (Debbie) Horne of Stonington, IL; grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Krista (Tony) Swanagan, Jon (Tamara) Horne, Jill Horne, Jamie Drake, Angie (John) Brose, Willie Drake, great grandchildren, Drew and Tyson Swanagan, and also his best friend, his dog Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sons, Roger, Terry, and Tim Drake; 7 sisters and 3 brothers.

Don served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, having survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the sinking of the U.S.S. John Penn during WWII. He later retired from Allied Signal in Fostoria after 21 years.

A Celebration of life will be Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 1-3:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club 430 in Fostoria.

At the request of Don, there will be no visitation or services.
