Donald F. "Donnie" Bland, 44, of New Riegel, passed away Saturday morning, July 27, 2013 at Tiffin Developmental Center.


On April 19, 1969 in Tiffin he was born to Frederick J. and Rosemary C. (Reinhart) Bland.


Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Bland of New Riegel; 2 brothers, Ronald J. Bland of McCutchenville, Benjamin F. (Shelly) Bland of Tiffin; sister, Karen R. (Kent) Clark of Berwick, OH; 7 nieces and nephews; and 4 great nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick J. Bland; infant brother, Frederick Jacob Bland; and infant sister, Anna Mae Bland.


Donnie was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, graduated from Seneca County School of Opportunity, and had been a resident of Utah and Garza Buildings at Tiffin Developmental Center for the past 26 years. He enjoyed music, spending time outdoors picking up sticks, swimming and taking rides with his brother on motorcycles and ATV's.


Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at St. Nicolas Chapel, Frenchtown.


His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 31. 2013 at St. Nicolas Chapel, Frenchtown with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicolas Cemetery. A rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass.
