Donald C. "Duck" Flechtner, 81, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday morning, March 31, 2018, surrounded by his family at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.

He was born on February 9, 1937, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Carlton and Cledola (Rumschlag) Flechtner.  On May 12, 1972, he married Nancy C. Benner.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Tiffin; three sons, Bret (Andrea) Flechtner of Tiffin, Andy (Jaclyn) Flechtner of New Riegel and Tommy (Anna) Flechtner of Tiffin; daughters, Abby (Dan) Walter of Findlay, Trisha (Steve) Daniel of Tiffin, Susie (Joe) Hallas of Phoenix, AZ and Catherine Flechtner of Tiffin; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Janis Haslinger.

Duck graduated in 1955 from Tiffin Calvert High School and worked at Flechtner's Meat Market, Meyers & Co. Drug Company and later retired from Seneca Medical.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a life member of the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed playing cards with friends, harness racing, casino trips, gambling and eating desserts, traveling; especially to Las Vegas and was a Notre Dame football fan and a Cleveland Indians Fan.  Duck always had a smile on his face, a drink in his hand and food on his shirt.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
