Donald J. "Donnie" Sendelbach, 57, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday evening, September 7, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born on April 23, 1958, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Robert C. and Edna M. (Adelsperger) Sendelbach. On May 14, 1982, he married Belinda Martinez.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda, of Tiffin; son, Jason (Kristin) Sendelbach of Kansas; daughter, Ashley (Steve) Wertz of Bascom; brother, Robert (Linda) Sendelbach of Tiffin; grandson, Mason Joseph Wertz; close friend since kindergarten, Tim Clouse of New Riegel; four nieces; and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Donnie graduated in 1976 from Hopewell Loudon High School, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and worked at Whirlpool in Clyde for over 25 years. He enjoyed mowing, plowing snow, softball, golfing on the Knights of Columbus League, dogs and visiting the Amish Country. Donnie also enjoyed coaching his children in their sports throughout their school years and he was very close to his family and friends.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Bascom.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County or to the American Diabetes Association.
