'Duck' Turner

Donn F. 'Duck' Turner, 77, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning, January 26, 2011, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born February 23, 1933, in New Castle, Indiana, to Clarence and Betty (Rees) Turner. He married Marjorie Benner November 22, 1951, and she passed away in 1957. He married Marlene Brown, September 29, 1961.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Marlene; three sons, Dave Turner, of Tiffin; Pete (Teresa) Turner of Woodbridge, VA; and Joe (Gin) Turner of Tiffin; a daughter, Fran (Pete) Kleinhenz of Tiffin; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death along with his parents and first wife, Marjorie; are three sisters, Betty 'Jean' Aller, Patricia Phillips and Phyllis Tomcik.
Duck was a 1951 graduate of Columbian High School. He worked at American Standard retiring in 1991 after 38 years. He was president, vice-president and served in various offices for local union 7A. After retiring, he worked for Tiffin City Schools as a janitor for 5 years. He donated many pints of blood to the Red Cross, helped at the Seneca County Board of Elections and was a member of Moose Lodge 846, AmVets Post 48 and VFW Post 2858.
There will be no visitation or service.
