Doreen D. Bonnell, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 21, 2013 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on June 5, 1924, in Watton, England, to Walter and Laura (Hamilton) Rush. She married Raymond Bonnell and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Paul (Pam) Bonnell of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Shirley (Ed) Miller of Sycamore and Carol (Coy) Ritchie of Tiffin; 9 grandchildren, Greg, Joe, Angie, Audrey, Annette, Aaron, Elaine, Doreen, and Lori; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arthur Rush; and 2 sisters, Kathie Crawford and Winnie Roberts.

Doreen worked at St. Francis Nursing Home and then at American Standard as an inspector, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed participating in all activities at St. Francis Home; especially cards and BINGO and she loved dogs, doing word search books, gardening, baking, knitting, sewing and giving a hug or two to anyone that she met. Spending time with her family was something that she always looked forward to and cherished.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. Paul Tyree officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Garden.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the funeral home.
