Obituary

Doris Mae Fox, 83, of Tiffin, passed away, Tuesday evening, March 27, 2012 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center,

She was born on June 13, 1928, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Elmer and Myrtle (Racey) Bardon. On July 23, 1988, she married Donald F. Fox.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; son, Bill Brown of Georgia; 5 step-daughters, Sharon and Jerry (Fox) Hoy of New Washington, Ohio, Donna and Donnie (Fox) Siebenaller of Tiffin, Ohio, Bernadette and Kenneth (Fox) Foreman of Fremont, Ohio, Sharon and Robert (Brown) Mooney of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Shirley (Brown) Scott of Bucyrus, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and brother, Calvin (Pat) Bardon of Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold and Marion Bardon; and sister, Mary Alice (Bardon) Turner.

Doris graduated in 1946 from Upper Sandusky High School and retired from Uni-Grip, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio in 1988. She was most recently a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Tiffin, Ohio, for 12 years and was a 50 year member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was a longstanding member of the Lady's Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 2858 in Tiffin, Ohio. Doris enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting recipes and cookbooks, playing euchre and spending time with her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake service will begin at 3:30 P.M and a Rosary will be led by family members at the end of visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, or to Community Hospice Care.
