Dorothy J. Heyman, 85 of Holly, MI; passed away on May 22,2025.
She was born in Marion, MI. on June 13,1939 to Floyd and Ethel (Hunt) Burge. She formerly lived in Tiffin, Ohio until July of 2022 when she moved to Holly, Mi.
She married David L Heyman Sr., on January 14,1959, they were married for 55 years.
She was proceeded in death by her husband David Heyman Sr., her parents Floyd and Ethel Burge, daughter Mary Catherine Atwell, brothers Robert, Darwin, Phil, sisters Vicki and Peggy.
She is survived by her daughter Dora Heyman, son David Heyman Jr. (Nancy), son Ronald Heyman (Mary Lou), grandsons David Heyman III (Mara), James Atwell (Victoria), and great granddaughter Isabell Atwell. Several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with their children.
She was a school crossing guard for 34 years in Tiffin School system.
Dorothy loved to knit and crochet and could make anything without a pattern. She was a passionate reader, bowler, and a longtime Cleveland Indians fan.
Her face would light up whenever her nieces Terrie, Amber and her children Karmell, Brayden and Stella would come to visit.
Her funeral will be May 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 10-11:00 AM.
