Dorothy E. Hoerig, 82, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday evening, September 04, 2024 at Findlay Care Center.

She was born on January 28, 1942, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Austin and Maryann (Weimerskirch) Koby.  On November 27, 1965, she married Kenneth W. Hoerig.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth W. Hoerig of Tiffin; sons, Dennis Hoerig and Douglas (Andrea) Hoerig, both of Tiffin; daughter, Diane (Randy) Benner of Tiffin; and six grandchildren, Tyler Bowes, Alyssa Hoerig, Breanna Hoerig, Colten Hoerig, Ryanne Benner and Jacob Benner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Bowes; son-in-law, Dan Bowes; and brother, Eugene Koby.

Dorothy graduated in 1960 from Calvert High School.  She was a crafts painter who owned Country Palette Gift Shoppe and worked at Firelands Counseling Services for over ten years.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was a die-hard Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed crafting.  Dorothy loved spending time with her family and was devoted to and proud of her grandchildren.

Services will be private and burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
