Dorothy M. Thompson, 101, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, November 21, 2010 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On January 20, 1909 in Sandusky County, she was born to David and Ora (Purdham) Arnold. She married Albert D. Thompson in Green Springs on June 6, 1928.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Immele of Tiffin; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert, 2 daughters, Donna Simon and Dolores Botella, grandson, Joseph Immele and brothers, Robert and Kenneth Arnold.

Dorothy was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, homemaker and volunteered as a foster grandparent at Tiffin Developmental Center.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Fremont with Chaplain Ruth Lynch officiating.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, Seneca County Humane Society, Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center or to a charity of the donor's choice.
