Douglas R. Kraft, 68, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center.

He was born on May 25, 1955, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Carl F. and Janet (Cromley) Kraft.  On February 22, 2022, he married Lea Compston.

Survivors include his mother, Janet (James) Kraft-Cook of Tiffin; wife, Lea Kraft of Tiffin; son, Dustin (Emily) Kraft of Tiffin; stepson, Jonathan (Maranda) Nichols of Tiffin; sister, Linda (Dan) Hoerig of Tiffin; and one grandchild, Brantley Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl F. Kraft.

Douglas retired from American Standard after 30 years.  He currently was a member of the New Riegel Moose Lodge 872 and past member of Tiffin AmVets Post 48 and Bettsville AmVets.   Douglas was an avid bowler, bowling for the American Standard Torpedoes, winning many awards.  He enjoyed watching Sprint Car racing and earned the nickname "Waterboy" for watering down the track for many years at the Attica Speedway.   Douglas also enjoyed camping in Upper Sandusky, riding his motorcycle to rally's and around the lake, going out to eat and loved his four cats.

There will not be any services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County or to F.A.C.T.
