E. Jane Tuthill, 97, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2015 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.

She was born on June 3, 1917, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Jacob and Bessie (Michaels) Martin. On April 2, 1939, she married William D. Tuthill.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Martin (Linda) Tuthill of Shaker Heights; daughter, Deborah (Ted) Magie of Naples, FL; 3 grandchildren, Claire (Joseph) Wendling, Katherine Tuthill and Jonathon (Mary) Tuthill; 4 great grandchildren, Beatrice, Cecelia and Hugh Wendling and Benjamin Tuthill; and many wonderful cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sister, Pauline; and brother, Paul.

Jane's greatest joys came from raising her family, being a member of Faith United Methodist Church and spending summers in Lakeside, Ohio in "porch ministry" to many friends and neighbors. She enjoyed working as a secretary at the Betty Jane Rehabilitation Center and the Dean of Students office at Heidelberg College.

Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Lanzer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Monday at the Church.
