Obituary

Earl G. Miller, 83 formerly of Kiwanis Manor, died Saturday morning, February 2, 2008 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On December 3, 1924 in Tiffin, he was born to Marley J. and Marie C. (Kapper) Miller. He married Rosemary C. Welly on February 10, 1948 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include 3 sons, John T. (Artys) Miller of Tiffin; Ronald G. (Valerie) Miller of Fostoria; Michael A. (Jane) Miller of Tiffin; brother, Eugene Miller of Tiffin; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rosemary of 36 years, brothers, Robert, Albert, Ralph, Francis Miller, and a sister, Alwilda Faber.

Earl was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, AMVETS Post 48, American Legion Post 169, VFW Post 2858 where he was the Past Commander and Chaplain. He served his country 2 years in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was the owner of Tiffin Roofing and Heating. He later retired from Tiffin Metal Products. One of his favorite past times was spending time with his grandchildren and taking them fishing.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. David A. Ross officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to mass. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans Council of Seneca County.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home 419-447-2424.
