Edward R. "Ed" Strausbaugh, 56, of rural Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on January 13, 1957, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Richard E. and Rosetta E. (Brickner) Strausbaugh.
Survivors include his mother, Rosetta, of Tiffin; 3 brothers, Dennis (Kathy) Strausbaugh, of Republic, Rick Strausbaugh, of Nevada and William (Tina) Strausbaugh of Tiffin; sister, Karen (David) Plott, of Nevada; 8 nieces and nephews, Danielle Boes, Kasie Strausbaugh, Alexandra Plott, Samuel Plott, Nicole Strausbaugh, Aaron Strausbaugh, Kelly Strausbaugh and Ryan Strausbaugh; and great niece, Scarlett Boes.
Preceding him in death was his father, Richard in 1999.
Ed graduated in 1975 from Hopewell Loudon High School and attended Owens Community College in Findlay. He managed Tiffin Tire & Retread for over 15 years and worked at Air Force One, in Findlay, as a heating and air conditioning installer. He was a member of the V.F.W. Tiffin Post #2858, was very talented and mechanical and enjoyed fixing and tinkering with everything. Ed also loved his animals.
A funeral service will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
