Obituary

Edwin F. "Ed" Kilen, 73, of Fort Seneca, passed away on Monday morning, April 3, 2017 at his home.

He was born on November 13, 1943, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Kensel and Mattie (Mathias) Kilen.  On July 24, 1965, he married Linda L. Baker.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Fort Seneca; daughters, Karin (C.J.) Siemer of Tiffin and Brenda Kilen of Old Fort; brothers, David (Kathy) Kilen of Tiffin and Donny (Darlene) Kilen of Mesa, AZ; and four grandchildren, Alix, Jozie, Casey and Andy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ed graduated in 1961 from Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the United States Army Reserve from 1964 to 1970.  He was an over the road truck driver for SanGregory Cartage and later retired in 2005 from The Connection in Toledo.  Ed enjoyed collecting cars, car shows, traveling, camping, meeting his car buddies for lunch, and just driving around.  He was a member of Fort Seneca Community Church, founding member of the Seneca County Antique Machinery Club, always had a story and would talk to anyone.

His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Fort Seneca Community Church with Pastor Dave Hudson officiating.  There will be no burial at this time.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fort Seneca Community Church or to the Old Fort Volunteer Fire Department.
