Elaine M. Kimmet, 56, of Tiffin, died Saturday evening August 8, 2009 at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

She was born in Bamberg, Germany on January 31, 1953 and adopted by Howard and Pat (Dunigan) Fisher in Norwalk. On January 22, 1977 she married Robert E. Kimmet.

Survivors include her mother of Norwalk; husband of 32 years, Robert of Tiffin; sons, Bob (Carolyn) Kimmet of Republic; Andy Kimmet of Tiffin; daughter, Patti (Mark) Roush II of Tiffin; brother, John (Betty) Fisher of Sheffield, twin sister, Marie (Bob) Antal of Roseville, twins Kathleen Hupp of New Ark, DE, and Marilyn Venables of Cleveland; Margaret Fisher of Boston, MA; and 6 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1971 graduate of Norwalk High School, she worked at Fry Foods until 2001. Elaine was good hearted and always willing to help others, she was a "mom" to everyone. She especially enjoyed time with her family.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Eric Culler officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass. There will be no burial at this time.
