Obituary

Eleanor Fry, 85, of Tiffin, died Thursday evening July 9, 2009, at her home.

On December 19, 1923, she was born in Bloomville to Leroy and Sarah (Smith) Frankenfield. On January 31, 1948, she married Nevin 'Norman' Fry.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Norman, a daughter, Beverly Fry of Tiffin, two sons, Phillip (Patricia) Fry of Bettsville, David Fry of Tiffin, a sister, Beatrice Smith of Columbus, two granddaughters, Katherine and Nicole Fry.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a son, Robert Fry in 1975 and a brother, Warren Frankenfield.

Eleanor was a 1941 graduate of Attica High School and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Eleanor enjoyed cooking and in 1961, she and her husband, Norman, started their family business, Fry Foods Inc. She was a life member of the Soroptimist International of Tiffin and Seneca County, Tiffin Chapter Order of Eastern Star 189, Daughters of the American Revolution, Dolly Todd Madison Chapter. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.

A private service will be held for the family with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 5-8 PM, Monday, July 13, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.

Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or to the Parkinson's Foundation of North West Ohio.
