Elizabeth J. "Babe" Platt, 89, of Bascom, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 16, 2009 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

On November 26, 1920 in Ballville, OH she was born to Chester and Beatrice (Earhart) Druckenmiller. She married Raymond W. Platt on January 28, 1966 in Tiffin.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Raymond, son, Denny M. Burkett of Fostoria; daughter, Martina (Jean-Louis Mongeau) Burkett of Fostoria; brother, Wayne Druckenmiller of Fremont, OH; sister, Lunetta Smetzler of Tiffin, OH; 2 grandchildren, Aimee Mongeau and Angela Fitch and 2 great grandchildren, Shawn Fitch Jr. and Alexis Burkett.

Babe was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Eldon Druckenmiller, sisters, Eloise Burmeister and Virginia Nehls.

Elizabeth enjoyed traveling, camping, her home, and crocheting. In her spare time she crocheted blankets for the animals at the Seneca County Humane Society. She was a member of the VFW Post 2858 Ladies Auxiliary and of TOPS 1016.

There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date at Sandridge Cemetery in Bascom.
