Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" R. Booth, 80, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday evening, February 21, 2012 at her home.

She was born on September 7, 1931, in Plainview Minnesota, to William and Anna (Norton) Kruger. On July 1, 1950, she married William A. Booth and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2009.

Survivors include five daughters, Becky (Bob) Smeltz of Tiffin, Ohio; Kathy (Mike) Bramel of Marion, Ohio, Karen (Jim) Sauber of Ashland, Ohio, Julie (Denny) Kerschner of Tiffin, Ohio and Lisa (Dennie) Baldwin of Midway, Kentucky; three brothers, George (Dorothy) Kruger of Plainview, Minnesota, Edward Kruger of Elgin, Minnesota and Raymond (Ada) Kruger of Tallmadge, Ohio; two sisters, Eileen Kreiger of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and Margaret Baines of San Diego, California; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Wilfred and Laverne Kruger; two sisters, Luella Kruger and Dorothy Mussel; one grandson, Michael Bramel and one great grandchild, Natalie Plank.

Betty graduated from Plainview High School in Minnesota and moved to Tiffin in 1963. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She received an honorary PHT degree (Putting Hubby Through) from Harvard. She loved her church and volunteered for years, assisting with the funeral luncheons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass.

Friends may visit and share memories with the family on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Wake service will begin at 3:30 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Community Hospice Care.
