Obituary

Ellen Mae Hopple, 64, of Tiffin, died Wednesday evening, February 25, 2009, at St. Catherine Care Center, Fostoria.

November 12, 1944, she was born in Tiffin to Jack E. and Leona (Tong) Bare. October 24, 1964, she married George L. Hopple in St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, George of Tiffin; a son, Mike (Becky) Hopple of Fostoria; a brother, Roger (Sue) Bare, a sister, Sharon Pethe both of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Hopple.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a daughter, Gail Hopple.

Ellen was a 1963 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She worked at Republic Bank for many years before becoming an insurance agent for over 16 years with Nationwide Insurance. She enjoyed crafts, going to craft shows, and trips to Amish country and the surrounding area.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM, Monday, March 2, 2009, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating. Burial will follow in St. Jacob Cemetery, Republic.

Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.

Memorial contributions can be made to Spina Bifida of Northwest Ohio or the American Cancer Society.
