Eric E. Rohrbach, 47, of Tiffin, died Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2009, in the Emergency Room at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
On March 23, 1961, he was born to William T. 'Bill' and Melba (Keiffer) Rohrbach. August 11, 1984, he married Rebecca 'Becky' Nesselhauf.
Survivors include his wife, Becky, a son, W. Michael Rohrbach, a daughter, Alexa 'Lexi' Rohrbach, all at home, two brothers, Alex Rohrbach, James (Stacy) Stark, both of Tiffin, five sisters, Michele (Don) Brown of Napoleon, Melissa (Rick) Jameson, Mindy Roof both of Tiffin, Paula (Carlton) Fruth of Findlay, Linda (Roy) Dotterweich of Old Fort, mother and father-in-law, Donald and Carolyn Nesselhauf of Clyde, seven sisters-in-law, Judy (Joe) Hoffman, Ranae (Mike) Cleveland, both of Clyde, Debbie (David) Jay of Findlay, Karen (Bill) Maclean of Pickerington, Donna (Dan) Benfer of Republic, Janine Nesselhauf of Clyde, Pam (Mike) Knaszak of Buffalo, NY, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Melba in 1970 and by Sue Elaine (Smith) Rohrbach in 2004, who raised him.
Eric was a member of Tiffin St Mary Catholic Church and graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1979 and from Tiffin University in 1983. After college, Eric and his family lived in Cleveland for over 10 years and he traveled around the world as Vice-President of Sales for Waxman Industries. His positive outlook and motivation earned him the Top Salseman of the Year for several years with many of the manufacturers he represented. He also loved basketball and baseball. He coached for many years for local Tiffin baseball and basketball D and E League's, Clinton Elementary, K of C D League. He played Varsity Baseball and Varsity Basketball at Tiffin Columbian High School and at Tiffin University. And for many years he also coached basketball, elementary travel youth teams, Tiffin Storm, Tiffin Thunder, Ohio Hoops.
Eric was the owner of PowerSalez, representing and marketing products for home improvement retail. Eric's personality and his knowledge of business allowed him to open PowerBuyz, a retail store on Benner St. in Tiffin in 1997.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 AM, Monday, January 19, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Eric Culler officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family 2-8 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions can be made to Tiffin Columbian Athletic Boosters in memory of Eric. Eric was full of life and enjoyed living, so it was important to him to help others, that is why he chose to be an organ and tissue donor.
