Erik Lee Werling, 52, of Republic, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

He was born on March 19, 1972, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Kenneth Gene and Sandra Lee (Kahler) Werling.

Survivors include his parents, Kenneth Gene and Sandra Lee Werling of Mims, FL; brother, Tom Werling of Tiffin; nieces, Stefani Werling of Tiffin, Alli (Taylor) Biehler of Green Springs and Taylor (Dylan) Wertz of Tiffin; great niece, Wren Wertz; aunts and uncles, Tom and Deb Kahler, Mike and Bev Kahler and Lori (Bob Huffman) Kahler, all of Tiffin, Porki (Bill) Davidson of Hoagland, IN and Jean and Randy Vanover of Keanansville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl & Mary Ann; and aunt, Nancy Smith.

Erik was a 1990 graduate of Seneca East and worked for Local Laborers 547 out of Marion.  He enjoyed helping others, attending area dirt tracks, doing yard work, remodeling his house and was a Michigan Wolverine season ticket holder for over 20 years.

His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
