Obituary

Evalyn D. Craig, 91, of Findlay and recently of Friedman Village in Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, January 15, 2011 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On July 25, 1919 in Independence, KS; she was born to Albert E. and Flora (Jackson) Marsh. She married Fred M. Craig on September 3, 1949.

Survivors include her daughter and friend, Sue Hampshire of Tiffin and Larry Wagner of Fremont; 2 grandsons, Craig (Cathy) Branson and Jon (Karen) Hampshire both of Tiffin; and her great grandchildren, Lauren, Andrew, and Hannah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred of 53 years, a sister and son in law Nate Hampshire.

Evalyn was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ and graduated from high school in Russell, KS. She enjoyed her cats, shopping, sewing, gardening, and watching birds and loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory and on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10:30 am at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery in Arcadia.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Community Hospice Care or to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
