Evelyn M. Artner, 94, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 4, 2018 at Birchaven Heights, Findlay, after a brief stay.

She was born on October 18, 1923, in Wooster, Ohio, to Samuel and Lucie (Mathewson) Levers.  On February 26, 1955, she married W. J. "Bud" Artner who preceded her in death in 1989.

Survivors include her son, Steven (Kathy) Artner; daughter, Stephanie (Tom) Matuszak; grandchildren, Olivia Artner, Bennett Bishop and Mason Matuszak; niece, Patty Shelby; and nephews, Doug Levers and Greg Levers.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Levers; nephew, John Levers; and great friend and sister-in-law, Zona Levers.

Evelyn graduated from Wooster High School, with a Bachelor Degree from Ashland University and with a Master's of Education from Columbia University.  She taught at Ashland University from 1945-1950 and at Heidelberg College from 1950-1955.  Evelyn then married Bud and raised their two children, Steven and Stephanie.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bridge, golfing, volunteering, going to Mohawk Golf Club and traveling the world.  Evelyn was very well versed in many areas and down to earth.

All Services were private at St. Joseph Catholic Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tiffin-Seneca Public Library, Community Hospice Care or to the Alzheimer's Association.
