Obituary

Evelyn Yeater, 87, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Wednesday morning, February 29, 2012 at Ruffing Family Care Center, Tiffin after a long illness with Alzheimer's.

Born on October 31, 1924 in Tiffin, she was the daughter of Fred and Catherine (Fisher) Randell. She married Harvey "Bud" R. Osterwalder on November 4, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1953. She later married Nathan B. Agerter and he also preceded her in death. In 1964, she married Irvin Yeater and he preceded her in death in 1998.

She leaves behind two children with her husband Harvey; Rick (Dorothy) Osterwalder of Tiffin; Sandy (Jim) Mangus of Republic; one with Nathan Agerter, Tate Agerter of Carey; a brother, Allen (Betty) Randell of Texas; sister, Marion Beasley of Kansas; 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey Mangus of McCutchenville; Wendy (Don) Carrick of Attica; Dawn (Mark) McGinty of Findlay; Rhonda (Doug) McCloy of Marion; Amy (Glenn) Boehm of San Antonio, TX; Shelly (Kevin) Alarie of Severn, Maryland; Brian (Becky) Osterwalder of Bellevue, Michigan; Stacy (Corey) Sims of Brentwood, Tennessee; Craig Agerter of New Riegel; Andrea Agerter of Carey; 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a brother, Gilbert Randell.

Evelyn retired from the Tiffin Developmental Center, working in the laundry for over 25 years. She enjoyed taking care of her home, visiting Amish country, sewing, making clothes, quilting and making crafts. Evelyn was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who took pride in her family. She will be missed by all.

A funeral service will be Monday, March 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Terry Jones officiating at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery next to her first husband, Harvey.

Friends may visit and share memories with the family on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 2-6 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
