Obituary

Faye Lucille Kelley, 93, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on December 9, 1917 to Edson & Esta (Moyer) Detterman. She married Lavon "Scotty" Thome on August 1, 1944 and he preceded her in death. She later married James Kelley and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters; Marilyn Stiltner of Findlay, OH and Mary Sauber of Tiffin, OH; one brother, Virgil (Geri)Bordner; three grandchildren, Carrie Stiltner, J.J. (Amanda) Sauber and Rob (Beth) Stiltner; and six great grandchildren, Shiloh Sauber, Shelbi Sauber, Robby Stiltner, Elora Stiltner, Taylor Stiltner and Kyleigh Stiltner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Junior Detterman and Carrol "Jimmy" Bordner and sisters; Thelma, Dorothy, Vivian and infant sister, Evelyn Detterman.

Faye was a resident at Kiwanis Manor for over fifteen years. She was a past member of Eagles Auxiliary and Women of the Moose. She owned Red Horse Tavern for 35 years and was known as a good cook and everyone enjoyed lunches at the Red Horse. She enjoyed working with flowers and decorating at Kiwanis Manor and spending time at Lake Erie. Faye enjoyed her families' dogs.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419)447-2424. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kiwanis Manor BUS or Resident Activity Fund.
