Florence H. Lofay, 88, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday morning, March 26, 2017 at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born on December 24, 1928, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Sebastian and Dorothy (Scherger) Sendelbach.  On December 26, 1951, in Indiana, she married Richard G. Lofay and he preceded her in death on November 20, 1999.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald J. (Donna) Lofay of Virginia Beach, VA and Richard G. Lofay of Elizabeth Town, KY; daughter, Nancy Jo (Stan) Monroe of Vine Grove, KY; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Frank, Robert, Albert, Richard, Bernard "Bill" and Edmond; two sisters, Pauline Eckert and Mary Reilding; half-brother, Arthur Sendelbach; and half sister, Esther Russell.

Florence graduated in 1947 from Hopewell Loudon High School and worked at Hayes-Albion Corporation.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Tiffin Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.  Florence enjoyed bowling, gardening, crocheting, relaxing on her front porch, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
