Florence W. Wertz, 90, of Tiffin, died Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2009 at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

On May 17, 1918, she was born in Tiffin to Ralph and Augusta (Johnson) Hausenfleck. She married Robert Wertz on June 6, 1937 and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Robert (Frances Arlene) Wertz of Peach Tree City, GA; James (Nancy) Wertz of Tiffin; and Gene (Lana) Wertz of Cupertino, CA; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, brother, Harold Hausenfleck, sisters, Joan Nusbaum and Marjorie Montz.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and a 1936 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.

Her wishes were that her body be donated to the University of Toledo, University Medical Center.

There will be no services or visitation at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapel Fund at Autumnwood Care Center.
