Frances L. Lonsway, 88, of Tiffin, died Friday afternoon, January 16, 2009 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

On April 2, 1920, she was born to Harry and Faye (Cypher) Leiter in Fremont. She married Alton P. Lonsway on May 18, 1946.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Alton; two sons, Mike (Jean) Lonsway of Marblehead and Tom (Janet) Lonsway of Tiffin; a daughter, Mary (Robert) Weichel of Huron; and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Leiter and two sisters, Doris Zinkiewicz and Betty Doty.

Frances volunteered for Meals on Wheels and she enjoyed her home and taking care of her family.

A Memorial Mass will be 12 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Kieran Kay officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to invite friends for a luncheon following Mass, at St. Francis Home.

Friends may visit with the family 10:30am to 12:00pm, Saturday, January 24, 2009, at St. Francis Home Chapel.
