Obituary

Frank X. Frisch, 80, of Tiffin, died Monday morning, October 19, 2009 on his 57 A½ year wedding anniversary at his home.

On October 28, 1928 in Seneca County, he was born to Frank and Catharine (Schreiner) Frisch. He married Mary Tiell on April 19, 1952 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Frenchtown.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; 9 children, Virginia Ridner (Earlie Spradlin) of Tiffin; Ronald (Patty) Frisch of Tiffin; Joyce (John) Black of Tiffin; Sandie (Ray) Lease of Tiffin; Myron (Irene) Frisch of Bloomville; Roger (Sandy) Frisch of Tiffin; Beth (Doug) Nichols of Republic; Larry (Rebecca) Frisch of Findlay; Amy (Joseph) Snyder of Tiffin; sister, Helen Meyers of Milan; 28 grandchildren, Eric (Jennifer) Ridner, Dean (Becky Tiell) Ridner, Greg (Kristy Vaughn) Ridner, Sheena (Brian) Bridinger, Christopher (Stephanie) Frisch, Michael Frisch, Josephine (Steve) Parsons, Janet, Jillian, and Jaclyn Black, Clint and Candace Lease, Ashley (Nick) Strojny, Amber (Tim) Sturgill, Tim and Kara Frisch, Brittany, Katie, and Kyle Frisch, Seth, Cody, and Noah Nichols, Luke, Joey, Josh, Elijah, Matt and Trevor Snyder and 10 great grandchildren.

Mr. Frisch was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leo and Lawrence Frisch, sisters, Eleanor Alt, Ann Guloski, Rose Stockmaster, Loretta Claus, Hilda Moyer, Mary Stockmaster, Marcella Heyman, and a granddaughter, Maggie Frisch.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, lifetime farmer in Seneca County and a member of the Seneca County Farm Bureau and a machinist at National Machinery for over 24 years, retiring in 1989. Frank was a member of the T-Squares; he enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, playing cards, solving Sudoku, playing the Harmonica, gardening and was a talented writer of poetry. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with all of them.

The Celebration of life Mass will be Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the mass.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home from 2-8 PM. A Wake service will be Wednesday at 1:30 at the funeral home.
