Frank H. Kuhlman, 76, of Carey, passed away Monday morning, May 2, 2016 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
He was born on October 18, 1939, in Leipsic, Ohio, to Leo and Estella (Haselman) Kuhlman. On April 8, 1961, in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, he married his high school sweetheart, Jane M. Mathias.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jane of Carey; five daughters, Kelly (Greg) Scherger and Kristi (David) Cassidy, both of New Riegel, Kim Kuhlman of Carey, Jill (Brian) Liskai of Bellevue and Dana (Kevin) Sendelbach of Tiffin; brother, Donald (Nancy) Kuhlman of Carey; four sisters, Ann Griffin of New Riegel, Norma Reinhart of Alvada, Nancy (John) Daniel of Tiffin and Sue (David) Middleton of Findlay; and eight grandchildren, Justin (Chrystal) Liskai, Ty Liskai, Brooke, Drew, Abby and Chad Cassidy, and Logan and Garret Sendelbach.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Kuhlman and Danny Kuhlman.
Frank graduated from New Riegel High School in 1957, was a lifelong farmer, and retired from Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative after 40 plus years. While in high school, Frank played on the basketball team and scored over 1000 points and was still very active at the YMCA. He was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel and the New Riegel Moose Lodge 872 and enjoyed going to Hawaii to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary, going on casino trips, playing cards, watching sports and watching his grandchildren play sports.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at All Saints Parish, St. Nicholas Chapel, Frenchtown with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 3:30 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to NBS Joint Fire District or to the Tiffin Community YMCA.
