Obituary

Frank H. Patterson, 83, of Tiffin, died April 26, 2009 at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

On December 10, 1925 he was born to John and Mary (Langrell) Patterson in Smyrna, TN. On December 24, 1947 he married Alice Eleanor Newland. She preceded him in death on April 30, 1980.

Survivors include, three daughters, Alice Dianne (O'dell) Jeffrey, Sarah Linda Patterson-Toner, Teena Patterson, all of Tiffin; one son, Ronald F. Patterson of Tiffin; two sisters Myrtle Mullins of Murfreesboro and Betty Patterson, both of Murfreesboro, TN., ; two brothers, Charles A. Patterson, of Murfreesboro, TN., and Bobby O. Patterson of Tullahoma, TN., grandchildren Tammy (John) Quincy, Frank Jeffrey, Ashton (Nicole) Patterson, great grandchildren, Krystal Helkey, Shawn O'dell Helkey, Fred Quincy, Kelsa Quincy, Brent Jeffrey, Shane Jeffrey, and companion Marge Bethel of Tiffin.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, three brothers John, James Ernie and infant Guy Patterson, five sisters, Sarah Miller, infant Maude Patterson, Jewell Black, Jessie B. Patterson and Mary Norris, and great grandchild Collin O'dell Jeffrey.

Frank retired from Hossler Construction after 40 years as a Superintendent. He also worked for M & B Asphalt for 20 years in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of Fort Seneca United Church of Christ, Tiffin Moose #846, V.F.W. Post # 2858, and Eagles Aerie #402. Frank loved animals, especially ducks and cats, he spent a lot of time at "Patterson's Park" on N. Water St. feeding the ducks. He also enjoyed gardening and helping friends as often as he could when it came to pouring concrete. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be 10:30am, Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery, with Pastor Barry Bordenkircher officiating.

Friends may visit with the family 4pm to 8pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the funeral home.
