Fred "The Bear" Steinhauser, III, 72, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, July 03, 2024 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.

He was born on July 11, 1951, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Frederick and Imogene (St. Clair) Steinhauser, Jr.

Survivors include his three sons, Frank (Heather) Steinhauser, Freddy Steinhauser and Brian (Aimee) Steinhauser, all of Tiffin; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one on the way; and close friend, Sally Kato.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Fred was a 1971 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and worked at Whirlpool for 39 years.  He was a Moose and Eagles member and he enjoyed Sprit car racing.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
