Fred T. Bower, 64, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday evening, January 5, 2012 at The Cleveland Clinic.
On April 16, 1947 in Canton, OH, he was born to Edward and Emily (Mitchell) Bower. He married Shelly Ricci-Kizer on February 3, 2006 in Nashville, TN.
Survivors include his wife Shelly; sons, Tom (Shannon) Bower of Wooster; Daniel Bower of Tiffin; step-son, Dan Kizer of Tiffin; daughters, Dora "Dodie" Bower and Mandy Bower both of Canton; step-daughter, Milissa (Joel) Kummerer of Tiffin; a sister, Pam McNutt of Canton; 12 grandchildren, Tyler, China, Adam, Ben, Alena, Juan, Ana, Danielle, Gage, Gaby, Grayse and Gaven.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Fred attended Tiffin First Church of the Nazarene and worked in maintenance at Ameriwood for 24 years. He was a former manager of the Bellevue IGA and sold for Moran Feed to the area farmers. Fred served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor John Wildman officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
