Gene K. Hill, 77, of Tiffin, passed away Monday evening, July 18, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria.

He was born on November 9, 1938, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Karl and Fannie (Taylor) Hill. On October 24, 1970, he married Janice Sullivan.

Survivors include his wife, Janice of Tiffin; brother, Gerald (Anna) Hill of Fort Seneca; nephew, Charlie (Karen) Hill; and his adoptive family, Kim Walton and her children, Kyle, Shelby, Cassie and her daughter, Quinn, Kristen (Mark) and Marissa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Geralyn E. Lang.

Gene graduated in 1957 from Old Fort High School. After high school, he served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He retired after 34 years from Ohio Power and volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and around Seneca County. He was an active member, Deacon and chairman of trustee at First Christian Church and also a member of Tiffin Lions Club, where he was a Melvin Jones recipient. Gene was Mr. fix-it and was always smiling.

His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 22, 2016 at First Christian Church with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating. There will be no burial at this time.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Friday at Church. The Tiffin Lion's Club service will begin at 11:45 A.M. and military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans Council after the service at Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, Seneca County Habitat for Humanity or to the Lions Club.
