George L. "Luther" Hartson, 52, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 24, 1965, in Tiffin, Ohio, to William and Mary Alice (Everhart) Hartson.  On April 24, 2016, he married Lucy Moon.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy of Tiffin; daughter, Leann Monique (John Schaffer) Hartson of Tiffin;  brother, Ricky Jo (Jennifer) Hartson of New Riegel; sisters, Barb (George) Nimocks of Bloomville, Jan (Carl) Hill of Tiffin, Rose Brown of Oak Hill, Julia (Mike) Reinhart of Alvada, Brenda (Eddie Pletcher) Carter of Bloomville and Cheryl (Orlando) De La Rosa of New Riegel; step brother, Richard Everhart of Tiffin; grandchildren, Barbara Moon and Curtis Moon; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepson, Terry Moon.

Luther graduated in 1984 from Mohawk High School and worked at Seneca Sheet Metal for 18 years.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, football, camping, gardening, yardwork, welding, grilling in the summer and was an Indianapolis Colts, Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliot fan.

His funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Sue Wildman officiating.  There will be no burial at this time.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the funeral home.
