Obituary

Georgia May Steyer, 80, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, May 17, 2008 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.

On February 2, 1928 in St. Louis, MO she was born to Maxie T. and Etta M. (Osborne) McGlaughlin. She married Richard J. Steyer on January 25, 1946.

Survivors include her husband Dick of 62 years, a son, Lenard (Pat) Steyer of McCutchenville; daughter Margaretta (John) Covert of Tiffin; sister, Opal (Ray) Fuhrman of Imperial, MO; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jonny, Marvin, and Gene McGlaughlin, sister, Betty Jane Elkins.

Georgia was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, the choir and with the DeMolay Commandery #9, Ladies Club. She enjoyed her crafts, baking wedding cakes, sewing, music, word puzzles and reading her Bible. Georgia loved spending time and shopping with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Christian funeral service will be Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 19, 2008 from 4-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home.
