Geraldine L. "Gerry" Whiteman, 87, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 16, 2013 at Independence House.

She was born on February 27, 1925, in Tiffin, Ohio, to August and Addie (Gathrey) Gallo. In 1951, in Tiffin, she married Harland Whiteman and he preceded her in death in July of 1980.

Survivors include her brother, Albert Gallo of Fostoria; and many nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Ralph Gallo; and sister, Josephine "Dolly" Poland.

Gerry was a member of the Eagles Aerie #402.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Jerry L. Boylan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 10-11:00 A.M. prior to the service on Monday.
